JMHS’s Volleyball Spring Fling was a really fun event that brought students from different grades together. Teams were made up of students from freshmen to seniors, which made the games exciting because everyone got a chance to play with people they normally would not. Even though some teams were more experienced than others, everyone tried their best and supported each other throughout the games. The gym was full of energy with students cheering, laughing, and getting competitive during close matches. One of the best parts of the Spring Fling was seeing how people from different grades worked together and encouraged each other. Older students helped younger players during the games, and it made the event feel welcoming instead of too serious.
There were many exciting moments, like long rallies, great saves, and game-winning serves that had the crowd cheering loudly. Even students who were not playing enjoyed watching and supporting their friends from the stands. The Volleyball Spring Fling was not only about winning games, but also about having fun and building friendships. It gave students a break from school stress and allowed everyone to be active and involved. By the end of the event, people were tired but happy, and many students were already talking about doing it again next year. Overall, the Spring Fling was a great way to bring the school together and create fun memories for everyone who participated.
“I am in charge of Spring Fling because I am in charge of student council and we are the committee that runs it,” said Mrs. Schneeman, “I am a very competitive person and played sports my whole life so I look forward to it every year.”
“This year’s spring fling was really fun and I like that I got closer with people,” said Emma McDevitt
“I liked playing with people who normally don’t do volleyball,” stated Lanie Sokol
A fun afternoon was had by all!
