The Lady Jays had a phenomenal 2026 softball season. They were a force to be reckoned with within the conference and were stacked with talent from head to toe. They ended their season with a 0.393 batting average and a 0.920 fielding percentage. On May 20th, the Lady Jays played in the district championship at Firestone Stadium and brought home a golden trophy for the first time since 2013. It was a 14-8 victory over Cuyahoga Heights in which the team had 15 hits, including a home run.
The seniors; Brena McBeth, Ivy McBeth, Charlie Saunders, Katie Byers, Tiffany Tingler, Callie Juhasz, Lillian Roach, and Arianna Lehman were ecstatic to have such a successful season with the most amazing team.
Ending the year with a 19-6 record, the girls concluded their season in a hard fought battle at Youngstown State University on 5/27/16 against Maplewood. It was a magical season full of hard work, friendship, and success. The Lady Jays can’t wait for more successful years to come!
