Jackson-Milton held their second annual Sadie Hawkins dance this year. It was so fun to be there because there was dancing and the DJ was did a great job playing the songs students wanted.  There were also games for the people who don’t dance. The music was great and the lights were pretty. The dance was from 8-10 pm.  The MCCTC students were also in attendance there and they could bring the guest they wanted to bring and as long as they submitted the proper guest form.

The Sadie Hawkins Dance is a social event where women are encouraged to ask men to be their dates.  The dance typically includes music, dancing, and sometimes even themed costumes or activities. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to have a good time and enjoy the company of friends and potential dates.  The pictures were taken by Shyla Wolf.

The parents that were there said, “This was a lot of fun for the kids and also for them.”  

The event usually features a DJ or live band playing a variety of music genres to cater to different tastes and preferences. Attendees can enjoy dancing to their favorite songs and socializing with friends and dates on the dance floor. As for food, many Sadie Hawkins Dances include refreshments or a meal. This can range from simple snacks and finger foods to a more elaborate buffet or sit-down dinner, depending on the event’s budget and organization.  The availability and type of food will vary depending on the specific event and its arrangements.

 Callie Juhasz stated, “The food provided was very good.  Students had a lot of fun!”
