Who is Presidential candidate Donald Trump?

The presidential campaign of 2016 includes some pretty interesting candidates. A specific candidate that most certainly sticks out is Donald John Trump. Trump was born on June 14 1946, and he is known today at age 69 as an American businessperson and media personality figure. Trump’s net worth is 4.5 billion dollars, so money is not an issue – a prime example being the fact that he is funding his own campaign. Donald Trump is adored by millions of people for many different reasons. He says things that everyone else is afraid to. This is one reason why he stands out, but his viewpoints on certain topics also give him boosts and extra support.

Some of Trumps views on problems within the country include abortion, civil rights, crime, drugs and foreign policy. Trump believes that Planned Parenthood is important, but abortions need to stop. This view has actually changed over time, as in June 2000 Trump was actually pro-choice. Trump supports civil rights in all aspects, saying that he would put women in charge of construction in August 2015. This is important because it could attract women to vote for him. Crime is another big issue in America, in which Trump says, “The police are the most mistreated people in America.” This is a big topic for debate in which every person has a different view, but just this sentence that Trump stated could cause police officers to vote for him, seeing that they are supported by Trump. He also is agreeing with what is currently going on with the drug legalization throughout the United States. Trump believes that the choices should be studied and decided state by state.

Lastly, foreign policy is yet another big issue. This is where Trump stands out among other presidential candidates. He believes that it is too risky to take in Syrian refugees, as there are too many dangerous people that can hide within them. Many people disagree because foreign refugees are what our country has allowed forever, and it would be changing the background of our country. Although these are Trump’s current views, they could change, and not everything he says could be 100% true if he was to be the next president of the United States.
