Jackson-Milton cheerleaders bring energy to every game and take pride in every performance. 9 of the Jackson-Milton cheerleaders got chosen to perform and show off their dancing skills at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee the girls stayed 5 days and got to see the very interesting landmarks in Memphis. This took place over Christmas break through December 30th-January 4th. The singer they danced for was a small country artist, Matt Stell, and a comparative marching band program played along with him behind the cheerleaders. Cheertime athletics invited them to this event and they got to cheer with girls from all around the area. Some of the cheerleaders on this team cheer competitively and are on the Gameday team or Black, some are even on both! The gameday squad is Olivia, Lanie, Sophia, Hayden, Ashlyn, Brooke, Gabby, Skyler, Addison, Arianna, Peyton, Abby. The Black squad consists of Lanie, Olivia, Sophia, Skyler, Gabby, Addison, Abby, and Peyton! They cheered at Edison Mac over Christmas break and took 5th overall. They also cheered at Warren Harding and got 1st overall. The Cheerleaders travel to 4 more competitions this season, one even being state! These girls are coached by Chloe Derrow and Holly Sokol, this is their 2nd year coaching high school cheer. The Jackson-Milton cheerleaders cheer in fall and winter. In the fall, the Lady Jays traveled to every home and away team for their football team. Also, they travel to every home and away basketball game to cheer on their boys.
