CCP is a program that allows high school students to participate in college classes to gain credits and knowledge in advanced topics our school may or may not offer. This is open to anyone in grades 7-12 who applies for it if they meet the criteria for their desired school.
Delaney Crytzer stated, “I feel that CCP is a great opportunity for students who are looking to knock out some credits for their future degree and satisfy some high school credits as well!”
A meeting will be held by Guidance counselor, Mrs. Wiery, on December 5th, at 6:00PM. This meeting will be informational and will be beneficial to any student interested in CCP for next school year. It will be 45 minutes long, with spokespersons from Kent State, YSU, and Belmont, all with guidance on taking these classes.
Another student, Abigail Bueno, states, “CCP has allowed me to advance as a student inside and outside of the classroom. It has gotten me free college credits, substitutes basic high school classes, is free of cost, and continues to improve my work in both college courses and high school classes.”
CCP has repeatedly been claimed as very helpful for students in preparing them for college and even allowing them to excel in high school. It has been a way to help pay for college by eliminating basic classes needed once enrolled because they have been taken already, and even save years from the amount of post-high school education costs. These classes are eliminating debt and encouraging further pursuit of knowledge and skill. If you are interested in adding CCP, attend the meeting!
