JMMS holds annual Spelling Bee

On January 8th, the Jackson-Milton Middle School held their annual spelling bee. This is a competition where they take the best spellers in the 7th and 8th grade and they compete to see who is the best of the best. Both 7th and 8th grade had 11 participants.

Spelling for the 7th grade was Gabbie Burgos, Ashley Caroline, Josh Dempski, Michael French, Steven Gaffney, Haily Gilmore, Aaren Landis, Hughston Lockner, Mason McDevitt, Brandon Strictland, and Anthony Terranova.

Spelling for the 8th grade was Julie Biro, Alyssa Deak, Jakob Fay, Jonas Gura, John Jagietta, John Landis, Michael Liberato, Magnuson Mull, Camron Perry, Ryan Staton, and Beth Williams.

There was a total of 22 participants and of the 22, 8th grader Ryan Staton emerged victorious and won the competition. This is the second year that Ryan Staton has won. He has proven that he is the best speller in the middle school.
