Jackson-Milton honored its veterans on the 11th of November. They were greeted by students handing out decks of cards and flowers. Mr. Vega opened the ceremony with greetings and warm welcomes followed by the Jackson-Milton band playing. The first speaker was Chloe Maffei who read “Greenlight a vet.”  This was followed by eight additional readings by Courtney Macphee, Adriana and Anthony Italiano, Sam Mansfield, Elena Jones, Kelsie Daff, Peyton Seachord-Delgado, Heather Kirk, and Tiffany Voland.  The choir and band took turns performing for the guests in attendance.

Mrs. Reyes works tirelessly preparing the events for the day.  Throughout the service Miss Amendolara constructed a presentation to honor all the veterans who had or are serving within the Jackson-Milton family.  Miss Amendolara also planned a luncheon with the student council members who were given the opportunity to socialize with the veterans following the assembly.  Mr. Kittle helped direct the band and also closed the ceremony with a moment of silence and taps. Jackson-Milton High School has made it an annual event to honor the brave men and women who serve for this great nation and we thank you!
