Leading the VICTORY cry!

This year’s Varsity cheerleaders are, Courtney Macphee (Sr.), Bridget Welsch (Sr.), Cheyenne Morrow (Sr.), and Mckenzie Lesko (Soph.). This year’s Junior Varsity cheerleaders are, Jordan Stratton (Fresh.), Tiffany Bartlett (Fresh.), Chloe Clear (Fresh.), and Hannah Burnside (Fresh.)

The Jackson-Milton High School cheerleaders have had a great and fun-filled season thus far and have a lot of events coming up. The cheerleaders performed at the 15th annual Pink Ribbon Cheer Classic at Youngstown State University in support of breast cancer and to help raise money on October 25th.  Doors opened at 7:45 am and performances began at 8:30 am. The high school girls performed a cheer, a chant, and a dance routine they learned at Cheer Time Athletics over the summer.

The cheerleaders have cheered at all football games traveling to Crestview, Windham, and Newton Falls to cheer on the boys and to bring spirit to the fans.  There was a pep rally held on Friday October 2nd for the homecoming game and the Jackson-Milton cheerleaders worked toward uplifting the school and getting pumped for Friday’s game.

At the home game against Leetonia, the girls walked around in between quarters to help raise money for a Hubbard football player that had emergency brain surgery and suffered from severe injuries from a football game previously played. In October, the cheerleaders had a clinic for any girl interested in attending grades 1st-6th to learn cheers, jumps, and motions. Finally, the Jackson-Milton cheerleaders would like to wish the football team and the other fall sports good luck in the rest of their seasons!
