The homecoming parade took lace at JMHS the Friday before homecoming. All the grades created floats: Freshman, Mario brother theme. Sophomores, Greek goddesses theme. Juniors, tropical beach theme. And seniors, Casino theme.
Mrs. Schneeman said, “My favorite float in the parade is the seniors float.” It was a casino theme.
Each year, sixteen people get on court. Two freshmen, RJ Truslow and Aliya Brown. Two sophomores, Carter Headley and Joslyn Cellars. Two juniors, Caleb Combs and Nora Schwarten. And ten seniors, Caden Ruby, Brock Piatt, Jack McDevitt, Jackson Horner, Katie Byers, Makenna Johnson, Charlie Saunders, Tiffany Tingler, And our king and queen Abby Bueno and Elijah Handrych.
The homecoming parade starts from the library and goes all the way to and around the football field. Since we aren’t at the old football field we start at the school because there is no other place where we could start.
Mrs. Schneemann said that what made her be in charge of the homecoming parade is that, “When I got hired, Mr. Vega asked me if I wanted to be in charge of student council and I said yes, so that means that I am also in charge of the homecoming parade.”
Mrs. Schneeman claimed that the senior float looked the best because it was very colorful. She thinks that she was proud and happy that the seniors have won. She was happy because this year they were really determined to strive and win the homecoming float.
