The Jackson-Milton record for this year’s 2022 season was 7-4. The coaches for this year’s season were Nate Brode, Mike French, Tom Ciccolelli, Micheal Liberato, Tyler Halavick, and Steven Yuhasz. The Jackson-Milton football team ranked 491 in Ohio with Str. -13.2 +6. With the Ohio division VI ranking #55. Alex Schiavi with 1804 passing yards, 24 touchdown passes, 184.8 passing yards per game, and with 167 pass completions. This is the 2nd time since 2016 that Jackson-Milton went to the playoffs with a record of 7-3. This is also the first time that they have beaten Western Reserve and McDonald in the same season since 2004. This is only the 3rd time that Jackson-Milton High school has gone to playoffs in the last decade. It was a close game against Western Reserve, 22-21 was the final score with Jackson-Milton being victorious while being a neck and neck game the whole night. The McDonald game wasn’t as close with the final score being 20-7. The JM defense shut their offense down the entire night, except for the last couple minutes and that led to them scoring their only touchdown against JM that night. The Jays had a great night knowing that they had ended the cycle of losing to the Blue Devils. That was the only win against McDonald since 2006 and Jackson-Milton had a score of 14-6. Owen McDevitt also earned an honorable mention All-State as a defensive backer this season.
