The Jackson-Milton soccer team had 6 wins, 4 losses, and 3 ties. They were 2nd in the conference with Waterloo being the top team in the conference. The soccer team is coached by Craig Fetkovich. The captains for the team are senior Daniel Spalding, senior Maddie Moore, and junior Kylee Fetkovich. The starting goalkeeper for the soccer team is Josh Donaldson. He has had a great season, making many incredible saves and keeping them in many games. The defense has improved greatly since last year, allowing the team to be in a better position going into tournaments.

The soccer team usually plays their games on Mondays, Thursdays, and at times Saturdays. The most recent win for the team was their senior night on October 17, 2021 against Waterloo. The Bluejays came away victorious winning 2-0. Right before the first half was almost over, it began to rain very hard and it soon began to thunder. That meant that the game had to be delayed. After sitting inside for a little over an hour, the teams went back outside to finish the last 5 minutes of the first half. The refs then called the game. Senior Daniel Spalding and Sophomore Alex Rotuna scored the 2 goals for the Bluejays.

The soccer team’s first playoff game is October 19, 2021 at home as they host Newton Falls High School. The Bluejays are trying to make a run in the playoffs and get as far as they can.
