The Kent State trip for seniors took place on October. Seniors left at 8:30 a.m and arrived at around 1:45 p.m. The trip is for seniors interested in attending Kent State University or other colleges that attended the college fair. Colleges that attended the college fair were Mount Union, Ohio State, Westminster, Northern Ohio, and many others.

While there, many seniors participated in a scavenger hunt to get to become familiar and discover cool facts about the campus. Winners of this event consisted of Makayla Maas, Sierra Smallwood, Darien Arthur, and Kaylie Carson. Winners won a Jackson-Milton shirt and pictures taken of the event were posted on the Jackson-Milton Facebook page. Those who did not sign up for the event were to report to each class as their schedule states. Lunch money was to be brought with the seniors to buy food from the food court.

Sierra Smallwood, one of the scavenger hunt winners states, “It is a really nice campus with a nice relaxed vibe to it. I was interested in a couple of the colleges they had shown at the fair. The scavenger hunt was a lot of fun, and it created the perfect opportunity to go sightseeing. I particularly liked the art dotted around campus.”

Another scavenger hunt winner, Makayla Maas states, “I was able to learn a lot about the colleges at the fair and it got me thinking about where I really want to go.  I also had a lot of fun just walking around with my friends and seeing what the campus was like. It was a great experience .”
