The FCA stands for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Meetings are held in the Fishbowl between 7:00 a.m to 7:30 a.m every Tuesday. Attending these meetings gets students a free doughnuts and a free wristband, as well as a devotional and prayer.

Upcoming events are the Christmas Gift Exchange, Dodgeball Tournament, Easter Egg Hunt, and Summer Picnic Bash. These events do not have a set date quite yet.

However, the New Years Lock In will be held at the ROC of Salem Youth Center on December 31st starting at 9 p.m and will end January 1st at 7.am. At this event there will be games, worship, an AirPods giveaway, Escape Room and more.

Another event, such as the National Day of Prayer will be held on May 7th.

Senior, Kaylie Carson states, “I like being a part of FCA because it helps to bring people together. It does not matter if you have never been to a past meeting. You can join whenever you like. It’s a time where we can sit down and talk and not have anyone judge you. I am most excited for the Summer Picnic Bash because the whole community gets together and has a fun, eventful day where we all come together.”

Senior, Camron Perry expressed, “FCA is a place where students can feel comfortable in expressing their faith and their feelings. It is a club full of fun, food, and community service along with growing closer to each other and Christ.”

Mrs. Condon states, “I think it’s a really great opportunity for students to have a place of positivity and a place to support one another despite all the ways the world breaks us down. I know I always leave in a better mood when I get a chance to be apart of the meetings.”

If you’re free on a Tuesday morning, you can check it out!
