The Jackson Milton High School boys varsity baseball season has dwindled to an end on May 18, 2018. The boys played against Springfield Local and fell 2-1. The boys battled against the number one seeded team in the OHSAA struthers district. The boys outhit the tigers by three hits (7-4). Junior, Devan Christoff, had a total of three hits for the Blue Jays that night. Freshman, Luke Campbell, also contributed to the team that night by hitting a double and the only RBI of that night.

Senior, Sebastian Lay, only allowed one hit throughout the seven innings. He included eleven strikeouts for the game, and finished the season with a total of 140 strikeouts which broke the nineteen year school record. The original record was held by Matt Ruby, who had 125 strikeouts for his senior season. Matt Ruby is the current pitching coach for the Jackson-Milton High School boys varsity baseball team.

The boys went into extra innings with the Tigers but were not able to clinch the win. The boys finished off their season with a record of 12 wins and 13 losses.

The boys ended the season with a conference record of 8 wins and 5 losses. Some of the teams the boys had beaten were Western Reserve, Leetonia, and McDonald.  Western Reserve was a meaningful win for the Jays.  Congratulations on a great season!
