Softball comes around at the end of the school year, along with track and baseball. Students look forward to this all school year long as they condition and practice to get ready to be the best they can be. This season the Lady Jays have 5 seniors along with returning coach Mrs. Abe.

The Lady Jays record, as of now is 5-8, they continue to strive to be the best they can be. Senior Maddy Hyland is pursuing her softball and academic career at Kenyon College. Jackson-Milton Lady Jays have recently beat rival Western Reserve 5-4. Madde Hyland was able to shut down Western Reserve with the 3 strike outs she had. Sophomore Lynzi Satterlee had 3 hits along with freshman Camryn Mitchell adding 2 hits.

Coach Abe will receive her 300th game win once the Lady Jays receive another win.

Senior Madde Hyland says about this season, “I feel like we have a lot of talent on the team and we have a really strong bond. Its sad that the seniors are leaving but the team has a lot of potential for the rest of this season and the next one.”

 The Lady Jays have had a successful season and their striving to be the best they can be. Junior Taylor Sahli says about this season, “I’m so glad to be able to play with all my teammates and have the best coaches. I am really going to miss all the seniors and all the good times we had together. It doesn’t matter if we win or lose, we all care about each other and pick each other up when we are down.”
