New Class: Senior Period

Anthony Eppendorfer

As the school year is pretty much in the middle, the graduating class of 2017-2018 is starting to apply for colleges and look to further their education. They now have a class known as Senior Period for them to look up, apply, and research colleges that have their preferred field in the school. This is important for them because they should be ready for a better life after high school, getting this kind of head start is a jump start to a better career and a better lifestyle for Jackson-Milton students.

Student counselor, Mrs. Wiery provides the senior class with scholarship opportunities that could help students have an easier time in college and easier time on their wallets. Students who take initiative now, and not right before they graduate, are more likely to get in to a college that they want.

Senior Nicholas Scarl states, “ I think it’s a great class, I get to get ready for college in school and don’t have to worry about doing it outside of school and can focus on homework and sports.”

This class is a very good addition because the students can feel overwhelmed when looking for a good college so having a teacher they can ask questions and advice while doing it is not only ensuring, but makes the student feel more confident. Overall, the class is definitely convenient for the students to further their future in education and get money all while being in school.
