The Jackson-Milton football team season has finally came to an end. Over the past the past three weeks, the football team had three tough losses. They played Lowelville in week 8, Mineral Ridge in week 9 and Western Reserve in week 10.

Friday October 27, they had their last home football game and it was also senior night. Also, at the game there was free admission for the First Responders and the JM Pee-Wee football players. The night started off with the fall senior athletes being introduced and walking across the field. The senior sport athletes that were included were football, band, golf, soccer, and cross country. It was a beautiful night out to introduce the senior athletes.

Before kickoff, the local first responders were taken onto the field to be recognized as a whole group and joined together for a moment of silence for the Girard Police Officer Justin Leo.

The Blue Jays fell against our rivals, Western Reserve. The boys played hard the entire game and everyone was proud of them. After the game ended, the five seniors on the football team took their “last lap” together and rang the victory bell for the last time.

“It was a sad night,”said senior football player Nick Scarl.

It was an emotional night for everyone and we are proud of our Blue Jays always.
