Mixed feelings about warmer October temperatures

Anthony Eppendorfer, Staff Writer

October temperatures in 2017 have been very sporadic. They have been up and down throughout the year but from the statistics from past years  have been very far off this year for the month of October. The average temperature for the month of October was 57.5 degrees which was 3.6 more degrees above the 20th century average.

It’s definitely a lot different this year, and it has effected many different people throughout this month. The way that the weather has been up and down throughout the whole month has made many people sick. The weather goes from beautiful one or two days to terrible and down right cold another day. That is the reason why people have been getting sick so much is because the very quick changes from warm to cold quickly.

Moving into November it’s going to start to increasingly get colder even into freezing temperatures. The coldest day in October this year was a low of 42 degrees which is actually warmer. Although many people thought that this October was a lot colder, they were actually wrong because  it was on average warmer this October than the average throughout the 20th century.

Jackson-Milton student, Ryan Staton said, “Some days were very nice and I enjoyed being outside.”

Although Staton liked the weather, student John Landis said, “I think the weather was absolutely cold and not comfortable.”

Both of these students are football players and said, “Although the temperatures were a little bit of everywhere it didn’t effect our game play.”
