Blue Jay Boogie brought the beat!

Courtney Macphee, Staff Writer

The Blue Jay Boogie is an annual dance for the elementary school children put on by the high school softball team. The elementary school children dance and can buy food from the concession stands at the Dance. At the end of the dance there is a dance off between each grade. The “dance offs” are judged by the softball team girls and the winner gets a prize.

All proceeds from the dance go to the softball team for necessary funds. The kids really enjoy and look forward to the dances. The softball team held this year’s Blue Jay Boogie on March 4th from 3:30-6. The softball team sets up the dance and concession stands offering several different snacks as well as hot dogs and pop and water. The softball girls love holding these dances because they love seeing the little kids having fun.
