Spring Extravaganza at JM: Shop ’till you drop!

Cheyenne Morrow, Staff Writer

The Jackson-Milton Spanish Club and National Honor Society were very eager to present this year’s Spring Extravaganza! This event was held on April 7, 2016 from 5:30 till 7:30 in the high school cafetorium.  There were a total of 25 vendors lined up in the cafetorium selling anything from purses to Tupperware.

Along with the vendors, the concessions were also open. The majority of the proceeds and donations from the Spring Extravaganza will be taken to the Austintown Relay for Life on June 4, 2016. Each vendor had to pay a fee, and all of the money from each of the vendors will be donated on behalf of team J-M NHS at Austintown Relay for Life. As well as the fee, vendors also donated either an item or a basket to team J-M NHS.

Also at the Spring Extravaganza there was a preview of the items that will be available for Chinese auction at the team’s tent at Relay. The Spring Extravaganza was open to the public, so Spanish Club and NHS looked forward to seeing people from the community there enjoying a night of shopping.  The event was a great success and a sizable donation will be made in June.  Thank you to all of the vendors and guests who attended.
