The Jackson-Milton girls basketball team will hold a basic skills camp for young female athletes. The older players will work with youth by teaching them most of the basic skills such as dribbling, shooting, defense and some major offensive drills. All the highschool players will show the younger girls how to compete and work hard to become excellent.

The camp will be held may 31st through June 2nd. It costs twenty dollars to participate and the cut off is eighth grade.

“I’m hoping to show the younger girls where hardwork and determination gets you,” Head Coach Pat Keney states, “I also want each girl to have a strong female student-athlete role model.”

While the girls will be working hard they will also be having tons of fun with games such as knockout, ball-handling and scrimmaging.

Junior Ashley Cameron says, “I’m really looking forward to seeing these kids compete!”
