Becoming a senior means things start to come to an end. Seniors Haley Lengeyl, Sierra Fife, Taylor Hayes and Emily Willams played their last home game on October 12, 2017 against East Palestine. The girls got gifts such as a blanket and candy and flowers with balloons attached from coaches Sue Prozy and Linda Craig, along with the presents some of the team members wrote speeches for the girls and presented them at the volleyball game.

The girls lost in 3 games but played their heart out and left it all on the court. Senior varsity setter Emily Williams said, “I’m going to miss playing the sport I love with my second family and I wish the underclassmen a great season next year.”

As the season went on and tournaments came around the varsity team won their first game against Heartland Christian and won in 4 games, sadly they lost in their second tournament game against St.Thomas Aquinas.

Senior Taylor Hayes said, “Volleyball is my favorite sport and it’s so sad to know that ill never play again in my Lady Jays uniform. I hope no one takes the sport for granted because it flies by.”

The seniors would like to thank coaches and team members for an amazing season and being like a family to them, they would like to wish the underclassmen for an amazing season next year and they are excited to come back to Jackson-Milton to watch them.
