The Jackson-Milton Speech and Debate team has been a great success at JM over the past few years. Placing and winning in multiple events, this year the team has traveled all over. This year the team is made up of 4 students which consist of Adriana Italiano, Elena Jones, Heather Kirk and Tiffany Voland.

Adriana and Elena are in the program of oral interpretation; Adriana has an excellence rating and earned Honorable Mention at their Howland tournament this year. Heather and Tiffany are a duo, and they are both of merit rating. This year at the Canfield tournament Adrianna had placed 10^th overall. Adriana’s oral interpretation speech is on suicide and the survivors of it. Tiffany and Heather perform a skit based on the movie “Clueless.”

Program oral interpretation is when the speaker reads from a manuscript with poetry. The Duo is when a team of two memorizes a skit, performs the skit, and is graded on their performance. Good luck and continued success to the Speech and Debate team the rest of this year.
