JM Students and community members generously save lives

This year the Blood Drive was on January 28, 2016 in the high school gymnasium from 8:30 am to 1:00pm. The Student Council was the group that planned this event with follow up interviews on Channel 27 News.  Maggie Garland and Samantha Metts told reporters about the event. This year the student council had a goal for how many people would help donate blood and the number was 40.  Donations were close to almost fifty people to donate blood for people in need.

Ms. Amendalora said, “I’m so excited and beyond proud of everyone that came out to donate and even the kids at school that donated. This year we also let sixteen-year-olds with their parental consent if they wanted to donate they were allowed.”

The next blood drive will be held in the Jackson-Milton High School gymnasium again in the spring.  The date and times will be announced in the near future.
