Our 2016 presidential election is already underway, and the republican front runner is Donald Trump, he is up by an astonishing 21 points over Texas senator Ted Cruz.  According to yahoo.com, “There is a mind-blowing turnaround in Donald Trump’s poll numbers.”  Donald Trump is liked by many because he is not a conventional politician, he doesn’t need money to be persuaded by lobbyists or big business, and he’s a successful businessman who is the wealthiest person ever to run for office.

Ted Cruz is a conservative politician who is Donald Trump’s main rival for the republican nomination.

On the democratic side, Hillary Clinton is a progressive politician who is predominantly known for being Secretary of State or being married to the 42^nd President of the United States. She is leading the democratic candidate. However,  she has a questionable track record with email scandals and fact checks. The republicans kick off their start to the new year at the Iowa caucus next month.
