Key Club takes pride in helping the community
December 11, 2015
The Key Club here at JM is a very big part of high school activities and gets students involved with the community. This year at Jackson-Milton, the Key Club had gone down to the elementary and set up activities for Halloween. Key club is involved in community service projects to help needy and elderly families also throughout the community.
Last year the Key Club had done the same at the elementary and they also had a 4k event here at JM for students and community member to come enjoy the course here. They will be doing the same 4k this year, but may be changing the course slightly. Last year with the 4k participants received a t-shirt with their sign up and a water bottle at the end of the race.
The race is one of the largest Key Club events here at JM, but they have also gone to nursing homes and helped elderly people at the homes as well. They have also picked up trash in the community and all Key Club members are encouraged to do whatever they can to help out and to better the community.
