Homecoming 025
Winning float: Sophomore class!

The 2015 homecoming parade took place on October 2nd. The parade started at Don Booth in North Jackson starting at 6:00. The Freshmen through Senior class all decorated homecoming floats to ride in as a class throughout the parade. The sophomores won the best float contest and received $100 to put towards their class funding.

The cheerleaders walked in the parade along with the band that played the cadence from start to finish. The girl’s homecoming court rode in the parade in convertibles that were nicely donated to them for the event. The elementary school football, cheerleaders, and volleyball players all showed their school spirit by riding on a float and throwing candy to people on the sidewalk.

The parade begins at Don Booth and goes down route 45 and turns right onto Mahoning Avenue, the parade then turns into the Jackson-Milton football field where it then takes a lap around the field itself. The girl’s homecoming court parks their cars along the schools victory bell and all other floats park in the grass behind the parking lot.

The homecoming parade is one that is very spirited and an exciting time to show off all the floats and celebrate the Jays before the homecoming game.
