Drone gives students a new perspective on technology

Previously this summer on Friday, August 28th, The Jackson-Milton Bluejay football team took on the Southington Chalker Wildcats at home. This was a special occasion, in which many families and parents wanted to capture the pregame celebration. Mr. Mohr, a high school science teacher at J-M, captured the experience from a different angle. Using a Drone, Mr. Mohr got an aerial view from above the football field and recorded the football team running out of the tunnel.
The Drone was shipped to the school from amazon.com, where you can buy many different versions and accessories. Mr. Mohr received the Drone so students could use it to record events throughout the year from different angles. The Drone has two cameras, a front facing camera and a camera facing toward the ground, and it is controlled through an I-pad or I-phone, in which everything that the Drone sees can be seen on the screen of the device. This gave Mr. Mohr an easy way to make sure he captured good video of the football team.
