The boys’ baseball team went 10-9 overall and 8-5 in their conference. There were 7 seniors this baseball season. This season, so many of the boys loved the playing time they were getting and felt good watching everyone getting the opportunity to play.
CJ Malutek, a freshman who played varsity, said, “I was so happy with getting as much playing time as I did. Getting reps is what made me a better player, and I’m so very thankful we had coaches who were willing to try me out and let me play! I’m just so happy I earned my spot on varsity.”
The coaches went out of their way to make sure their boys were doing well. All the freshmen looked up to their upperclassmen and coaches. The season had its highs and lows, but the team overcame numerous obstacles and handled adversity like champions. The season saw many underclassmen gain valuable experience on the field in high-pressure situations.
Coach Ruby said, “We grew up a lot in the spring of 2025!”
With many younger kids on the team, they needed to grow to play with their upperclassmen. He was so proud of the group of players that stepped up and took on needed roles. Giving something new a try is always hard and might not turn out the way you want, but lucky for Coach Ruby, it paid off and his team excelled!
