The Jackson Milton Key Club hosted an Easter egg hunt for the elementary kids 1 grade at a time. This was supported and run by adviser Abbey Fishtorn, there were multiple Key Club members that came out and helped with the hunt whether it was setting it up, hiding the eggs, filling the eggs or even helping the children find the eggs. This Key Club event was a great way to get community service hours or even to show that you did something helpful.
Abbey Fishtorn stated, “Key club is a great group to join to get community service hours and be involved in a number of school and community events. Maybe we can incorporate the Key Club students in the hunt in some way in the future.”
This really shows how much effort is put into this small event that took so much work. Mrs. Fishtorn worked hard to make these kids happy every year and the Key Club members are a big part of this.
Kenzie Truslow stated, “I helped spread the eggs around the parking lot each time a different group of kids came out!”
Ava Lewis said, “Some things I liked about the Easter egg hunt would be how excited the kids all were to see the Easter bunny and collect eggs.”
This shows how much the students care for the kids and how they volunteered to help the kids out and show their spirit for the school. Every year there is a new opportunity to become something great like joining Key Club to help out with multiple events or even to be a part of something.
Thank you to Miah Tomaino for braving the bunny costume!
