Jackson Milton High School’s graduating class of 2025 celebrated their Junior/Senior Prom on Saturday, May 18th, transforming the Grand Ballroom into a dazzling “Night Under the Stars.” The elegant event provided a memorable send-off for the seniors, filled with dancing, laughter, and reflection. The ballroom was adorned with twinkling lights and celestial-themed decorations, creating a magical ambiance for the students. Many attendees remarked on the vibrant atmosphere and the continuous energy on the dance floor.
Mrs. Reyes, a senior class advisor, beamed as she observed the festivities. “I am excited for the seniors and cannot wait to see where life takes them,” Mrs. Reyes commented. “It appears as if everyone had a great time at prom – they were always dancing and having fun on the dance floor. This is always a special night, seeing all their hard work culminate in such a joyous celebration. They truly deserve it.”
The highlight of the evening for many was the announcement of the Prom King and Queen. With anticipation building, Jack McDevitt was crowned Prom King, and Peyton Ford was named Prom Queen, both receiving enthusiastic applause from their classmates. For many, the night was tinged with bittersweet emotions as they recognized it as one of their final collective experiences as a class.
Senior Grace Johns articulated this sentiment, stating, “It’s a weird mix of emotions. It’s kind of sad knowing it’s the last one, but also cool to look back and realize how far we’ve come. Makes the night feel more meaningful. It’s a great way to close out our time here. So many memories were made that night.”
The evening concluded with a sense of camaraderie and fond memories, marking a significant milestone for the graduating class.
