The Jackson-Milton Wrestling team has had a great start to the season. Their top Wrestlers are Jayden Scott, Jack McDevitt, Brock Piatt, Dom Porter and Cole Capelli.
Hunter Johnson said, “The season is going pretty good, we have some good guys like Jack and Jayden and Cole’s pretty good too.”
The season started out well and they went to the Painesville Riverside Invite and they had 6 out of 8 wrestlers on the podium. Jack McDdevitt Individual champion in the weight class of 144 lbs. They also went to the DIII Classic and had 5 out of the 8 wrestlers on the podium. Jack McDdevit earned his 3rd title of the season. Jayden Scoot hit 100 wins this season; he is only the third wrestler in 12 years to achieve this goal.
Coach Brian Weidenthal says, “Season is going well, the young men are wrestling tough and training hard each day. We are about midway through our season and looking to peak at the right time. Sectionals are at the end of February followed by Districts and then State.
At the EOWL tournament Cole Capelli 5th place, Jayden Scott 8th place, Jack McDevitt 8th.
At the 2024 Jackson- Milton Invitational, Hunter Johnson placed 6th, Jayden Scott placed 3rd, Jack McDevitt placed 1st, Noah Popson placed 5th, Brock Paitt placed 2nd, Dom Porter placed 3rd, Cole Capelli placed 3rd.

The 2025 wrestling season was the best yet. These boys put up a fight ever match which brought them to victory. This season Jack McDevitt made it to state and wrestled on March 7th, 8th, and 9th 2025 at Schottenstien Center-Ohio State.
