The softball team went 13-6. They also went to district finals. They got a trophy for district runner-ups and they put the trophy in the trophy case. The softball team fought hard. They all worked hard and they pushed through all the bad days to get as far as they did. The energy in the dugout was great with all the people cheering everyone on and they had a lot of energy. The Lady Jays would fight as hard as they could through each and every game. They all worked well as a team and they will miss the four seniors that are leaving, which include: Maggie Simkins, Alena Len, Jillian Schmidt, and Macayle Thornhill. Macayle Thornhill got her 300th career strikeout on April 26th 2024. She also got voted Big Dog of the Valley on May 12th 2024. Congratulations to Coach Halavick for earning 2024 MVAC Coach of the Year! Additional Honors for MVAC went to: 1st Team: Macayle Thornhill, Grace Johns. 2nd Team: Brena McBeth, Gabby Kerr. Honorable Mention Emma Johns. All-district Honors included: 1st Team Macayle Thornhill, 2nd Team: Grace Johns and Brena McBeth. Congratulations on a successful and memorable season!
