At Camp Fitch they have a lot of activities to keep students busy.
As Faith Sullivan said, “My experience at Camp Fitch was amazing! I got to participate in many activities that I had never done before! I got to shoot bows and arrows, throw axes, ride a horse, climb a rock wall, and bond with the 5th grade class.”
Officer Ruse had some input too stating, “They had quite a few activities to keep us busy so hopefully I can remember them all. Throughout the day we rotated between different stations such as horseback riding, a challenge course, animal petting station, rock climbing, candle making, Lake Erie studies, archery, hatchet throwing, and made our own butter.”
As they said, there are some good activities that kids of all ages can experience. For the councilors, they were selected from the senior class by filling out an application. Thankfully, they had such a big class this year that we were able to take all of the seniors that were interested.
It was Officer Ruse’s first year at Camp Fitch, “Camp Fitch was a blast. It was fun getting to know everyone outside of the school setting. After dinner we did a Dutch auction where the teachers were judges and had different tasks the students had to do to earn points (dress up counselors, imitate the judges, face painting, etc…). Everyone had a great time participating in it and my face hurt from laughing so much.”
This event took place at camp February 21- 23rd.
