The High School Boys Basketball team ended their season with a record of 7-16 and went 3-11 for conference, making them 7th overall. They had a great overall season including beating our rivalry team. The JV had a new beginning starting the season with a new coach. Varsity’s ending season tournament game was very entertaining and intense while they kept the scores close the whole second half. The coaches, and everyone else, couldn’t be any more proud of what each and every single individual on the team had grown during the season. The beginning of their season started a little rough, but they got right back on track to have a great ending. Each team mate had an impact on Jackson-Milton. Congratulations to the seniors for a favorable season. The seniors were left with good memories of their high school career.
The Jackson-Milton Blue Jays JV and Varsity boys Basketball team challenged the Springfield Tigers on the away court. The Varsity score final ended up being 39-52 with the Tigers taking the victory. First quarter, the Blue Jays fell behind by scoring 9 points and the Tigers taking the lead with 15 points. Second quarter Blue Jays added 8 points to the board and the Tigers added another 15. The Jays were struggling trying to keep the scores close in the first half. Third quarter the Jays put up 8 points making the Tigers able to throw in 17 points. Then, the Blue Jays won the fourth quarter adding 14 points and locking the tigers in with only scoring 5 points. The Jays ended the game with 35 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 7 assists, and 3 steals.
Jackson Horner and Eddie Gursky challenged the tigers with blocks and steals. Ryen Romigh and James Croyle threw up some good three pointers.

The Blue Jays practice hard everyday and put in a lot of effort to get better and better. Their coaches push and motivate them to be their best as a team and individually.
The Jackson Milton Blue Jays high school boys varsity played at the home court against the Mineral Ridge rams with a record of 5-14 at 7pm. The last game against Mineral Ridge was on January 16th. The Jays had only lost by five points keeping the score close. The Rams are a battle that the Jays accepted the challenge to.
Starting the game in the first quarter winning the jump we had a good start with nine points while the rams took a lead with double. Leading into the second quarter taking the ball to the rim had us adding eleven points onto the board. Going Into the second half, third quarter The Jays added another eleven points but the Rams still had the lead with a close score. Then, finally in the fourth quarter, the Blue Jays had added twenty points hitting a couple of three’s. The Jays kept the game close the whole time but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Rams. The final score wrapped up to 56-51 the Rams taking the win. Leaving the Blue Jays with a 5-13 record. Jackson Milton kept going and didn’t let the Rams take them down. They shot with confidence and didn’t get out worked. The Jays tried 100% on each side of the court while on offense and defense. Their motivation was to keep the hustle up and not back down lower than what they can achieve.
