The Apprenticeship Program at Jackson-Milton may help students with trades such as carpentry.. Mr. Joy, a great teacher at Jackson-Milton, is the leader for the Apprentice Program. 

Mr. Joy stated, “The Building Trade program aims to provide students with carpentry skills that they can use to further a career in the trades or to use to be handy at home.” Moreover, the program is very helpful and useful to students who are into carpentry or their certain likings. Also, you can go further with the skills you already know from the program. 

Mr. Joy said, “Skills such as measuring, power tool operation, safety, tool usage, and craftsmanship are emphasized to create students with an eye for detail.” Furthermore, these skills are great for students who like to be creative but also like more hands-on careers. 

The skills they learn and the program gets students to realize what they’re interested in. 

The Apprenticeship Program also helps students build an entryway into carpentry.  Mr. Joy explained, “Students receive a certificate at the end of the program that allows them a easy entry to local carpenter unions and catches the eye of local trades across the board.” With the program students will have an easier career into the carpentry system. The certificate gives students a better look at themselves if they’re interested in a trade because they now have experience.
