For the Jackson-Milton 2023-2024 homecoming, the theme was disco.  Almost every student was there, and it was very fun. There was a catering business, a DJ, and a cameraman. They played a variety of different genre’s of music, including rap, country, pop, etc. Everyone danced, and there was even a dance circle at multiple different points.

Aiden Stanke and Savannah Williams were Homecoming King and Queen, and they had a dance specifically for the seniors. It was a slow dance, and everyone gathered around and wrapped their arms around each other around the dance floor in a circle, and swayed to the song, before everyone moved on. There was also another slow dance for the king and queen, but people were allowed to join in, like the friends or couples.

The cameraman took many peoples pictures, and they were allowed to pose however they wanted, and there was even people picking their friends up bridal-style for the photos.  Ms. Lynn and Mr. Vega both chaperoned.

For food, there was a variety of options, including mac and cheese, potatoes, pizza, spaghetti, meatballs, and breadsticks. Everyone loved it. Everyone had fun at the homecoming dance, they all danced and jumped around, and even threw confetti. A pink cowboy hat and glasses were passed around for fun.  It was definitely a night filled with joy, and one that won’t be forgotten.
