Abbey Fishtorn is the athletic director at Jackson-Milton High School and Middle School. She became the athletic director in the 2022-2023 school year. The athletic director manages the athletic department of the school.

Abbey Fishtorn states, “As athletic director the biggest thing is managing the schedule both long term and day-to-day. This involves things like management of games, practices, officials, buses, athlete and coach paperwork/certifications, tournaments, uniforms & equipment, as well as keeping us compliant with OHSAA and our MVAC conference.”

Fishtorn began being involved in the school district around 2018 when her children started attending Jackson-Milton elementary school.

Abbey Fishtorn explained, “Before taking this role I was the Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and the Head Varsity Track coach, as well as a substitute teacher for the district. I was also an Elementary PTA officer for several years as well as on the board for Hot Stove which are both very involved with the district.”

She is still the varsity track coach and substitute teacher, as well as a PTA officer and board member of Hot Stove. While starting the role as the new athletic director she also became the Key Club Advisor. Key Club is a club that gives students the opportunity to prove service.
