Owen McDevitt is an outstanding athlete and was dedicated to do the best that he could whenever he was either on the football field, baseball field, or even down on the mats.

Owen was asked who his biggest influencer was and he stated, “Probably my dad. He really pushed me to be the best.”

Owen ended up receiving letters in every sport that he’s played in and has gone to sectionals and districts in wrestling. Owen ended up placing second place in both sectionals and districts. He also went to state but said it was really tough and unfortunately ended his season there.

Owen has decided he will not be furthering his career in sports so he can focus on his studies after high school.

Owen got 1st team all MVAC in football and wrestling. He also got 1st team EOWL for wrestling then he got 2nd team all MVAC. Owen also received 1st team all NorthEast Ohio for Football and Honorable mention all state for football. Owen was also invited to play in the All-Star game with his fellow teammates, Alex Schiavi and Tanner Butler, to play football with other seniors from different schools for one last game. Owen said that he is very grateful for all of the rewards he’s received and all of the hard work he put in to the sports paid off.
