The Jays basketball team has had a tremendous year with their Varsity team going 9-15 and JV going 6-16 for the season. 9 out of 18 basketball players earned their letters this year. The team made it quite far in the season as well. They made it all the way to sectional finals to get them a place in the playoffs. Their coaches inspired them by always telling them, “Play like it’s the last 10 minutes.” They also got one win while being in the playoffs.
The Jays had many players on the team that were also recognized with special honors. Ryen Romigh, as a sophomore, won the Big Dog of the Valley. Aaren Romigh qualified for the YSN All-star game and also made it into the three point contest. Aaren Romigh also made First team in the MVAC League and earned an Honorable Mention for All-Ohio. Ryen Romigh earned second team for the MVAC League. Aiden Stanke earned an Honorable Mention in the MVAC League as well. Way to go on a great season Jays!
