2022 Golf Season Update

The Jackson-Milton golf team had an outstanding 2022 season. The members of this year’s Jackson-Milton golf team are Hunter Schertzer, Faith Sullivan, Ryen Romigh, Dylan Hovanoc, Colton Elliott, Dominic Zitello, Drew Sloan, and Jackson Horner. Seniors included Aaren Romigh and Billy Sloan. The coach running this year’s Jackson-Milton golf team are Daniel Crish. At the beginning of the season Ryen Romigh, Colton Elliott, Aaren Romigh, Billy Sloan, and Hunter Schertzer competed in two 18-hole tournaments and played very well. The boys golf team placed 3rd at the MVAC League meet with 355 points at the Salem Hills Golf Course. Second team all MVAC honors were given to Ryen Romigh and Hunter Schertzer. Aaren Romigh got honorable mention. Faith Sullivan finished 7th place overall for the girls 18-hole MVAC League meet. This year Faith Sullivan placed top 30 out of 90 golfers in the sectional tournament that took place at The Pines Golf Course. The Jackson-Milton boys golf team got 10th place with 357 points at the sectional tournament at Riverview Golf Course. The golf team had a winning overall record this season of 9-8. The team used the saying, “Drive for show, putt for dough,” said by Jackson Horner to encourage amazing putting skills. Coach Crish was a huge encouragement to good sportsmanship and fair play. Hunter Schertzer, Aaren Romigh, and Ryen Romigh led the golf team with the best season average score of 45. The Jackson-Milton golf team is very excited and looking forward to the new 2023 golf season and to excel tremendously in the upcoming 2023 golf season even more.
