The Jackson-Milton High School Varsity and JV softball teams have a record of 12 and 8 for this 2022 season. This year’s highlights from the team are:

Freshman Grace Johns hits a homerun at the Mcdonald Varsity game

Senior Chelsea Williams with two home runs at the Mcdonald and Waterloo games.

The three seniors featured this year are: Kylie Wilson, Sarah Raider, and Chelsea Williams.

The Lady Jays earned their first win in tournament play today against Wellsville. The Lady Jays continued their work at the plate as they have the last couple weeks. To start the bottom of the first, lead off batter Chelsea Williams tripled on the first pitch. Emily Fultz hit a shot to right field and moved herself around the bases earning an in-the-park homerun. Grace Johns followed that with a hard hit single. The Lady Jays continued it in the second inning batting through the order. Camelia Blackmon, Mia Greco, Emily Fultz, Grace Johns, and Macayle Thornhill all singled in the second scoring five runs. The Lady Jays took advantage of opportunities when they scored six runs in the third inning. In the bottom of the fourth, Chelsea Williams singled to right field but worked her way home on an error scoring run number fourteen. The Lady Jays tallied 11 hits and took the win 14-1.

Macayle Thornhill started the game going three innings while giving up three hits, walking one and striking out five. Sarah Rader came in to finish giving up zero hits, walking two and striking out five.

The Lady Jays ended the season by playing Mcdonald with a close score 5 to 8.
