JM Begins morning Weight Room opportunities

Alex Schiavi

On Monday January 24th, Jackson-Milton High School opened their weight room up to any student who would like to come workout early in the morning from 6:00 to 7:30 am. Assistant high school football coach Steven Yuhasz is there every morning supervising the students by helping and motivating them to be the best version of themselves. Coach also helps by giving the students suggestions for workouts and makes sure everyone stays healthy and safe while working out.

In the weight room, there are 6 squat/bench racks and a numerous number of dumbbells ranging from 5 to 100 pounds. In addition, there is a neck machine, assault bikes, elliptical, leg press, jammer set, and many more workout machines provided. The motive for opening up the weight room was to allow students to have a free workout before they go on with their school day and give the opportunity to anyone who would like to get stronger. Opening up the weight room for any student in the morning was a great idea and will no doubt be around for the foreseeable future.
