Organized and run by Ms. Downs (adviser of STAND) and Mrs. Kelecava (adviser of Student Council), the Jackson-Milton Middle School held a canned food drive. This is a contest between the Jackson-Milton Middle School and the Newton Falls Middle School. Grades 6th-8th competed to see who can bring in the most canned foods. When a student brought in a food item, they got to choose a turkey feather off of a turkey that was posted on the wall. The feather was either blank or had a sticker on it. With all the feathers that were blank, the students got candy for bringing in the food. The feathers that had a sticker on them, the students could get a gift card.
