SADD hosts 3rd annual Trick or Treat event for the community!
November 4, 2021
SADD stands for Students Against Destructive Decisions. It is a club advised by Mrs. Morelli and Mrs. Reyes that encourages students to make positive choices. The Jackson-Milton High School SADD advisors and members picked the Red Ribbon spirit week themes. The theme on Monday was Pajama day, members had to dress up in their pajamas to help support spirit week. Tuesday was twin day, there were multiple teachers and students dressed the same twinning to support spirit week. Wednesday was western/country day, there were multiple students wearing hats and dressing western to support the cause of Red Ribbon spirit week for Halloween. Thursday was hat day, a lot of the school wore hats, crazy hats, baseball caps, bucket hats, and more. Friday was wear your Halloween costume/trick or treat. This theme was the main event that everyone dressed up for because it was Red Ribbon spirit week during the week of Halloween. There were blow ups, scarecrows, nurses/paramedics, and so much more.
The high school SADD students/members also went over to the elementary school during lunches and did activities with the students where they decorated their handprints and pledged to be drug free. There was also a Trick or Treating event that SADD members organized and participated in. The trick or treating event was held October 25th 2021. The SADD members all dressed up and attended, stationed at various locations around the school parking lots to pass out candy for trick or treating. The night started off with a great many attendees and continued at a steady pace for most of the event. There were children in groups, and soon the full bags of candy to hand out were quickly disappearing. The event ended at 7 pm and everyone had a great time.
