On Tuesday 9/29/2020 the cross country teams took part in the Mahoning County / Mahoning Valley Championship meet. They raced against many division 1 and 2 schools at a high level of competition. Many of the runners ran new personal records as we finally had the perfectly cool and cloudy day that we have been waiting for!

The teams raced against 100-150 runners in each of their races and 10-12 schools.

Cole Graham and Kristen Campbell finished in the top 10 in their races, Cole in 8th place and Kristen in 2nd place. They both came away with championship medals from their places!

On Tuesday 9/22/2020 the high school and middle school cross country teams returned to Columbiana for their second race here this season! Everyone’s goal was to set new best times for the course, and the majority of the runners were successful in doing this! On one of the most difficult courses the high school runners see, the runners fought hard and had amazing races. As times continue to drop and the season pushes forward, many of the goals that were set at the beginning of the season are moving more into reach!

Cole Graham got the conversations started Thursday afternoon with his performance at the Boardman Spartan Invitational. Cole was the first, first place finisher for the weekend long meet. Cole took first in the division 3 heat 1 race on Thursday, September 17th, 2020. Cole started hard in the race and never slowed down. He captured the attention of “MileSplit Ohio” and was shared as a featured tweet from their verified account.
