JM Welcomes Mr. Halavick

Mr. Halavick

Anthony Eppendorfer

Jackson-Milton has added a new teacher to their 2019-20 staff. Tyler Halavick teaches freshman math and American History. He attended Youngstown State University and graduated in 2019. He was born in 1994 and is 25 years of age, and has always had a passion for teaching.

Although he enjoys teaching, he also has a strong interest in sports and coaching sports. He has coached high school baseball for five years and  has coached middle school football for two years. When he attended Youngstown State University, he was going for middle school and high school math and social studies. He ended up completing college and majoring in what he originally went to school for in the first place.

He really likes Jackson-Milton so far and even said, “This job is a dream job for sure. Great kids, great teachers, and a great school, I got very lucky to be included in what is happening in Blue Jay Country.”

One of his students, Katie Campbell says, “Even though he seems relaxed while teaching, his way of teaching is very interesting and attention grabbing.”

Overall, Jackson-Milton is happy to welcome Mr. Halavick to Blue Jay country!
