Track season continues with many highlights

On April 16th the Jackson-Milton High School girls track team earned a 3rd place spot as well as the boys finaling 2nd place at Mineral Ridge for the MVAC Quad Meet.  They competed against Lowellville, Springfield, and Mineral Ridge. On April 24th the Jackson-Milton track team competed at the Western Reserve Relay Meet. The girls track team finished 4th place with 56 points and the boys track team finished 6th with 55 points.  

Freshman, Kailee Davis, stated, “Being a part of this team is such a fun experience as we all work hard to improve ourselves and to motivate others to push themselves.”

The Jackson-Milton team all together earned 86 ribbons throughout the day.

On May 9th the boys and girls Jackson-Milton track team competed at the MVAC League Championship meet, this was taken place at Western Reserve High School.  They placed 5th out of 8 schools earning 66 points. This was the last regular season meet for the Jackson-Milton track team.

Junior, Grace McDevitt, stated, “It feels good to know all my hard work is paying off and it’s exciting to see the progress.”

At the MVAC League Championship Grace McDevitt broke the MVAC League Championship record for shot put and her own personal record for shot put. McDevitt broke the MVAC record by 2 feet as well as beating her own personal record by over 5 feet.  Grace McDevitt as she has already qualified for Regionals next week in Massillon in the Shot Put.
