Jackson-Milton has a Blue Jay 5K every year.  This year it will take place on June 2nd, at 10:00am. It is a great way for the school, friends and family to come together and have a fun good day. Each year the school makes it more creative and adds more things to it. Last year instead of just running/walking the 5K, the school turned it into a fun obstacle course with lots of mud.

While people are running on the outside and through the school zone, the inside soccer field is where the family fun zone will be with many activities for all ages.  There are so many fun activities and crafts to do throughout the day.

Dana Saunders, a sophomore at Jackson-Milton says, “ I have a great time at this race, it really does bring the whole community together and I love having fun with my friends and love that fact they make it able for everyone to come and have a great time. It’s a great way to get exercise, have fun and laugh with your whole school.”

There are also concession stands, prizes, and free giveaways along the way as well. This is a great way for everyone to come together and and have fun while earning money for new playground equipment for the school. Kids get to do the Fun Run for free, adults pay $30 and students pay $15 to have a great day with many things included.

Logan Grunder, also a sophomore at Jackson-Milton says, “This race is something most of my family goes to, it brings us all together and gives us all an opportunity to have fun, my grandparents, to my little brothers. It’s not like an amusement park where the parents just sit and watch the kids, it a fun day with things everyone can be apart of. It’s something we look forward to for sure.”

As you can see all ages can participate so come out and have a great day!
